Cinematic pop with retro 60’s influences.

What made you want to pursue music as a professional career?

It’s strange but I have always known I would go into music, I’ve never wanted a normal life. I can be quite an insular person and creating music is how I truly express myself, it brings me to life.

Who are some artists who inspire you?

Shirley Bassey, Amy Winehouse, Kate Bush.

What was it like to start performing and being involved in the music scene at such a young age?

It was mind-blowing, one minute performing at major gigs and then sitting in Chemistry the next day at school. It was a constant rollercoaster of nerves and excitement which I’m happy has evened out now that I’m more experienced.

You’ve been on tour with some incredible artists, such as Ellie Goulding and Ed Sheeran – what was the most valuable thing you learned from that experience?

I think it’s really important to respect everyone’s journey in music, no matter where you are at or how successful. All artists start as beginners.

Your new single, “Pointless” makes a statement about the norms we have today – what inspired this song?

We were having a conversation in the studio about how challenging the industry can be when you get knocked down and I said, “I don’t care how hard it is I’d rather die than be normal”. My biggest fear is to waste my life away and one day think, where did all the time go?

What do you think is the most challenging part of the songwriting process?

Taking an idea and telling a story with it. It’s also my favourite part of the process because it’s from the heart.

Are there any projects you’re currently working on?

I’m currently finishing the next single which follows on amazingly from Pointless.

Is there anything you’d like to say to your fans?
